really not pleased with the way accessibility is framed on tumblr. a piece of writing is not worthless if not everybody gets it. its worth isn’t derived from how many it can reach. some writers write for the purpose of spreading a message or reaching an audience and some don’t. there is no amount of jargon that is “too much”. some works are gonna be dense and difficult. you cannot say that the only acceptable writing will always been pre-chewed, simple, and ready for all consumers. accessibility yes, simplicity no. trigger warn, translate, transcribe, provide context and point to sources so a curious reader can look up the facts and figures. define your terms for the reader ahead of time. but don’t fear complexity. we need to dig into complex, tough styles of writing to deepen our understanding of what we observe.

Tumblr’s concept of sugaring/being a sugar baby is so skewed and dangerous…

You all have this idea that every sugar baby goes on thousand dollar shopping sprees and flies to different places staying at five star hotels. That sounds glamorous and all but a good majority of us are just relying on these men for basic necessities like fucking groceries.

I’ve been on my share of shopping sprees and I’ve been flown out on vacations but all of those experiences are short lived. Most of these men are entitled, dangerous and extremely manipulative… especially if they find out they’re your only source of income.

I just think it’s really dangerous to perpetuate this idea that sugaring is just talking to lonely old men and then getting showered in Chanel and Dior. Lot’s of young girls see this stuff, not realizing how dangerous it is and end up meeting abusive disgusting men.

The worst fucking part is that this stuff isn’t even perpetuated by actual sugar babies, it’s by random girls on here that have never done sex work a day in their life.

    I been saying this

    Hey Friends-

I don’t usually like talking too much about my personal problems on Tumblr, but its getting to the point where I’m running out of options. Long story short, I’m in a very bad place right now financially. Both my dad and I are out of work and even though we’ve been applying to as many jobs as we can, we just aren’t getting hired (plus we don’t have a car, which severely limits our options when it comes to places we can even apply to). If you’ve been paying attention to my blog, you might know that recently our electricity was turned off for a few days and right now there’s a very good chance of that happening again next month, too, and I don’t know if we’ll be able to get it back on again so soon next time.

So anyways, I don’t want to beg for money without offering anything in return so I’ve decided to start taking Art Commissions:

    MS Paint Art: $10
    Example #1
    Example #2
    Example #3

    Uncolored Line Art: $10
    Example #1
    Example #2
    Example #3

    Flat Colors: $15
    Example #1
    Example #2
    Example #3

    Pencil Shading: $15
    Example #1
    Example #2
    Example #3

    Full Color and Shading: $20
    Example #1
    Example #2
    Example #3

If you want more than 1 character drawn that’s +$2 for MS Paint and Line Art or +$5 for everything else. If you want a full background talk to me and we can negotiate a price based on complexity.

(I will probably be reblogging this post a lot, but I’ll tag them all as “mszombi art commissions” so block that tag if you don’t want to see this again)

EDIT: I just noticed that because I linked to these pictures from my blog, when other people reblog this post from me it tries to open them in the little Tumblr side blog thing but it doesn’t work? If you’re looking at this post reblogged from someone else, please right click and open the link in a new tab

so I just got another shut off notice D=

I won’t be posting the spring valley assault video but I think it’s important people know what happened. That Black girls are not safe. That a grown ass white male police officer (Ben Fields) will snatch/attack/flip/drag a student whom is sitting in her seat and no one will save her. That Black girls are not safe. That schools for Black students are not safe spaces. That Black girls are not safe. That everyday we gotta have a portion of our brain on the protection of our bodies. That Black girls are not safe. That if you try to protect your sisters you will also be arrested for not being silent. That your black male teacher will not protect you. That Black girls are not safe. That Black girls are not safe. THAT BLACK GIRLS ARE NOT SAFE.
